Cyclocross for GCC Members

CX Tuesday Night Races at Kelso

Tuesday Night is when Kelso Conservation Area in Milton hosts an 8 week Cyclocross series under lights. Click here for their details and race results. Sept 13 to Nov 1st, 2022. Rain or shine. Cancelled only for lightening.

6:45 PM = Beginner and Novice – 30 minute race

7:30 PM = Sport and Expert – 45 minute race

Equipment: A CX bike is great but not required, a gravel bike or an MTB will do just fine. No tire width restrictions. But it’s good to practice here on what you’re going to use in other races where restrictions do apply.

Carpooling to Kelso

GCC Members carpool to the early and late races. Communications for this are handled through our DISCORD ‘Server’ Cyclocross Channel. For the late races we meet at 6:05 pm at the SE corner of Wellington and Gordon at Royal City Pharmacy parking lot for a departure at 6:15PM. There is usually a pickup truck which can carry 7 bikes and passenger vehicles for riders. Vehicles can be left in the parking lot or you can bike to the carpool start. Please don’t be late, we won’t wait.

CX Weeknight Practice

Thursday night is when GCC members practice and hone their skills at Centennial Park in Guelph under the wonderful direction of Kyle Boorsma and a few other GCC members. Rain or shine.

If you have kids, Kyle runs a paid program for them too. Contact Kyle for details.

5:00 PM = Youth & Junior (~11-16 years old)

6:00 PM = Adults

Equipment: A CX bike is great but not required, a gravel bike or an MTB will do just fine.

CX O-Cup Races

Our club members will most likely be attending Provincial races. Once again, communications for carpooling will be handled through our DISCORD ‘Server’ Cyclocross Channel. You have to be a club member to get access.
