Sunday Cafe Road Ride: Longer, Quicker | October 25 11:00am

Where does the time go? Its nearly the end of October already. Sadly, this is the last official road ride for the 2026 season, although with El Nino, I predict we will be able to ride well into December. The weather should be quite nice for a jaunt around the Niagara Escarpment near Milton. We did this exact route for the last ride in 2025. I’m calling this the “Second Annual GCC Closeout Route“. There are some amazing roads on this route and the fall colours should be in full swing.

It’s going to be a gorgeous day with temps up to 17C and moderate SW winds. If you’re lucky, you may witness a repeat of last year’s Sunglasses Cuisinart where Jason Cook’s sunglasses flew off his head and right into my spokes on the descent into Milton.

Come out! It only gets worse from here! In a few months while you’re grinding away on a trainer in a sunless basement, you’ll kick yourself for not taking advantage of the weather while you could.

Bring money for a Starbucks stop in Milton and tail lights are always a good idea.

Load the route on your bike computer if you have one, here’s how.

Ride groups will be:
