Sunday Road Tours | August 3rd 08:00

FIXED GEAR ALMA START/END

Happy long weekend if you work at a government or financial institution, and a happy regular summer weekend to everyone else! Looks like we haven’t headed south west yet this season, so we’ll do that. There are some brief gravel sections involved in this adventure, nothing technical by any means.

Unfortunately for those with a refined palette, the booming metropolis of Ayr wants for nice cafes that are open Sundays. Therefore our brown go-juice stop will be at Tim Hortons unless the group twists my arm to dip onto Preston’s main street to a place called Solarien Cafe.

You may also note that there is only a 13km difference between the two routes. This is partially because it is hard to significantly alter a route that snakes its way around and then through Cambridge. There is also construction happening at two normally useful intersections that we are making efforts to avoid. That being said I did what I could, and may the knowledge that the ride ends where you can refuel with cold drinks and pizza give you the extra motivation should you need it.

Bring money, bring lights, bring smiles. Allons-y.

Load the route on your bike computer if you have one, here’s how.
