Try-A-Ride | June 21st 6:30PM

This ride is for cyclists looking to see if the Guelph Cycling Club and Group Riding are right for them. These rides are not intended for complete novice riders. You should have reasonable riding experience and fitness and can ride for 45 km non-stop at 24 km/h speed or greater. You will be guided by experienced club members on this ride.

When you arrive, ask other cyclists who the ‘Ride Leader’ is and introduce yourself to them. Tell them that you are looking for the R6 group (see map below) for the ‘Try-A -Ride’ session.

Once in the group you will receive some instruction for the evening followed by a group ride where you will receive more instruction and pointers during the ride. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, we’re here to support you and make sure you have a good, safe experience.

If you are an experienced, faster group rider and have ridden in pacelines with other clubs or groups, let the Ride Leader know and they may put you in a more appropriate speed group.

Riders are only permitted one Try-A-Ride session per season. If you wish to ride more with the club, you must become a member.

Prior to attending the ride, you must complete the Ontario Cycling Try-A-Ride Participant Acknowledgement Form found below and provide the R6 Ride Leader with a copy of your registration confirmation.

Bringing lights is always a good idea too.

The speed on this ride is 24-26 kph avg
