UPDATE #2: Severe thunderstorm watches from Environment Canada and official club rides do not mix well. It’s possible that things will stay clear and you might be able to muscle your way through the 50kph winds this evening on a solo ride, but there will be no grand depart from the East End Library today.
Having spent the past week poring over ancient texts trying to figure out how to appease the Sumerian weather god Hadad, I think that we have an excellent shot at a good night for riding [turns out I was wrong about this…]. The B & C groups will do a nice loop out on SR 15, down Dublin line and back through Eden Mills with a final push up Arkell. The A group will loop back for a little extra distance and a second serving of the Eden Mills climb!
Groups will ride at the following paces:
Thursday A: 35+ km/h average
Thursday B: 32-35 km/h average
Thursday C: 30-32 km/h average
