Session #4 Details:
This is our final P2A prep session before we transition into our road and gravel clinics on Thursdays. This week we’re incorporating more extensive single track riding. Just like when riding gravel events it’s a huge asset to familiarize yourself with the route (see below) so you are confident where you’re going.
- Ride as a group to the start of gravel & single track sectors.
- Ride gravel sectors at “steady effort”, not all out race pace – the focus should be on efficiency
- Start effort AFTER turning onto sector and regroup at the end of all gravel and single track sectors
- Obey all stop signs and traffic rules
Sectors for “steady” efforts (8 total):
- Gravel – Southbound on Side Road 12 (1km, at km 8-9)
- Single Track – Southbound through Little Tract (2.5km at km 10.5-13)
- Gravel – Northbound on Side Road 10 (2 km at km 13.7-15.7)
- Gravel – Northbound on Side Road 12 (1km at km 16.5-17.5)
- Gravel – Southbound on Side Road 10 (2km at km 19.5-21.5)
- Single Track – Northbound through little tract (2.5km at km 22.2-24.7)
- Gravel – Northbound on Pioneer Trail (2km at km 28.1-30.1)
- Single Track – Northbound on Crane Park Trail (~700m at km 30.5-31.2)
Bringing lights is always a good idea.
Route: Riders will follow this map:
