It’s that time of year again where I feel like having brunch in Paris, so the Longer route will make its way there for fuel and a break at the Wincey Mills. There are two short sections of gravel on he west side of the Grand River, but those are usually in great shape, so we will spread out and take it easy on those parts. This isn’t a short route but should be good preparation for the Club’s Big Rides that are coming soon. The Shortcut route will pass through Hespeler with a possible cafe stop, if a break is in order, just after km 61 at The Bishops Brew Cafe. The forecast currently predicts some light rain so dress appropriately, and check back no later than 7am to see if the ride is cancelled if it turns out to be miserable weather. Bring money for a coffee stop and tail lights are a good idea.
Load the route on your bike computer if you have one, here’s how.
Ride groups will be:
| Name | Distance | Average Speed |
|---|---|---|
| Longer, Quicker Ride | 90 – 130 km | 29-31 kph |
| L&Q Shortcut | 70 – 90 km | 29-31 kph |
All group riders take it upon themselves to know the route and are responsible for their own safety.
Check here for weather cancellation posted no less than one hour before the ride begins
