Niagara Ride | Sunday June 15, 2025

8:00am, 9:00am & 10:00am start times, see below for details

We are running the GCC Niagara Ride for the second year in a row! Based on popular requests, we are offering four group riding options 2x 200, 160, and 100km. If there is enough demand we can self-sort the “FAST” 200 into two groups based on preferred speed. If there are fewer than 3 riders registered for a given group that speed group WILL NOT RUN. Please plan accordingly and double check the registration at 9pm the night before,

In true randonneuring fashion, during the ride you are responsible for refueling and supporting yourself. Bring snacks, money for food, and tools, tubes etc. to solve any mechanical issues. The routes pass many cafe’s, restaurants, and other establishments to purchase food. Please review the routes and communicate with your group to decide frequency and location of stops.

The routes are very different across distances, as such we have not made a comprehensive list of food stops. This also means that there may not be a group behind you to meet up with if you fall behind. Communicate as a team and utilize drafting to assist those who may be struggling, split up if deemed appropriate BUT do not leave anyone to ride alone on unfamiliar roads!!!

!EVERYONE MUST HAVE THEIR ROUTE DOWNLOADED!

Following the ride, there will be a backyard BBQ hosted by the Siemens Family, Please get in contact with Mike Siemens if you have any dietary restrictions no later than NOON – THURSDAY JUNE 12.

Meet at 19 Bascary Crescent, St. Catharines, ON L2S 3M7, and be ready to ride at your designated start time. Note that it is approximately an hour and a half drive from Guelph. Park on the street where there is space, and try to carpool.

For the shorter rides, Mike’s parents will be at the start to allow you to change and use the washroom. Note that Washrooms at the start will NOT be available after 9:45am.

The groups will depart based on the following schedule. R groups have been added to provide a general idea of anticipated pace.

200km – BLAST (R1/2) – 8:00am

200km – FAST (R3/4/5) – 8:00am

160km – FAST#2 (R4/5) 9:00am

100km – RELAXED (R5/6) – 10:00am
