Not an easy call today, but Accuweather is showing some rain at 6, and again at 7 onwards. The Weather Network is a bit more optimistic but its likely to be cold and a little wet either way.
Tonight’s Social is CANCELLED also!
We hate to do it, but unfortunately there is no indoor space for us at FGB with their ongoing programming – and rain cover is minimal.
We will try and fit it in next week. Keep an eye for that. Besides, socials are best after a ride!
ATTENTION R3 RIDERS!
New Category Terminology: R3 Paceline Plus
To accommodate the overwhelming popularity of the R3 speed group, GCC is piloting a name change of the first R3 group: R3 Pace Line Plus. Similar to last year, this ride group is intended for those wanting something more, but not necessarily the pace or experience of R1 or R2 Race Tactics. The ride begins as social pace line and switches to constant rotation as usual. Around the halfway point, the pace may become more spicy if the riders choose.
R3 Team Pursuit (constant rotation) remains the same and will continue to focus on team cohesion and strive for smooth, seamless rotations. It will begin after the new R3 Pace Line Plus.
Although this was essentially what was happening in 2024 between the two R3 speed groups, riders can now explicitly choose the R3 experience that suits them best!
These are the Early Season Routes for the TAM Ride. They will remain the same for several weeks giving riders an opportunity to see how they progress in fitness week-over-week. Bringing lights is always a good idea.
