CANCELLED: Thursday Junior Road | June 20th, 6:00PM

PRACTICE CANCELLED

WEATHER UPDATE: Radar and forecast are calling for significant weather in the area.

Join us for another junior road session at the Speedway!

This week we ride on a closed circuit (no cars!) at the Flamboro Speedway that features a 500m oval and a technical course. See below for more details.

Coached junior cycling sessions are instructed by qualified coaches and experienced athletes. The sessions are available exclusively for junior GCC members. Click to see program info.

Series Focus: These sessions will focus on intermediate road cycling skills to get young riders confident with bike handling and riding in groups at effort. They are intended to bridge the gap to the Thursday Coached Road Sessions.

Rider Ability: At a minimum, riders should have the ability to control the bike safely (stopping and turning) while riding at speed. Riders should have the fitness to ride for 1 hour at 30km/h with a group.

Required Equipment: Riders will require a mechanically sound bike with drop bars, bike helmet, appropriate footwear and apparel for weather conditions and water bottle or other nutrition. Clipless shoes + pedals are highly recommended.

GCC members only. To become a member join HERE

Exit the track at turn 2. When the track is clear, from the inside of the oval cross the track and exit. While riding the oval you may also move to the far outside of the oval and exit.
