All new club members are required to attend a Learn to Group Ride session (LTGR).

What is it? Group Riding Instruction for those new to Group Riding and those new to the club.

Where do we meet: Calvary Baptist Church, 454 Arkell Road

When: Learn to Group Ride will be offered weekly on Tuesdays starting April 18th through May 30, then on the first and third Tuesdays of June and July. Rides in April begin at 6:00PM and from May on at 6:30PM.

Parking: At the Calvary Baptist Church, 454 Arkell Road

How it will work: Club members requiring instruction will gather at the Calvary Baptist Church and identify themselves to the Ride Leader of Group R8, the 24-26 kph speed group. Please arrive here and be ready to pedal 15 minutes prior to the start of the ride. After a brief chat and instruction, riders will follow the Ride Leader on a predetermined route and receive more en route instruction.

Who: You MUST be a GCC member to attend.

Nope, not even gonna wait… It’s cancelled.
However, the May Club Social is still on. Please come out to the Social at Fixed Gear Brewing on Alma Street at 8:30PM.

Fixed Gear has reserved and specially opened the Alma Street location just for us because the patio would be too cold tonight over at the Canteen location. Let’s show them our appreciation and kick out the last cold night of the season together! Got any good P2A stories? Bring those as well.

The GCC kit store will be open for ordering until Sunday April 30th.

On offer are our most popular options, the NOVA PRO high-performance jersey along with the SOLAR PRO BIB shorts and the more affordable and less race oriented FONDO Club Jersey and CADENCE BIB shorts. All items are available in men’s and women’s cuts with Youth sizes available in the Fondo. The Nova Pro jersey is available in Slim & Standard fit styles with a body forming fit for superior aerodynamics and a Mandarin Ergonomic Collar. While the Fondo jersey comes in both Standard and Relaxed fit options. Both bib shorts have chamois options as well.

The store closes at the end of the day on April 30th (actually May 1st, 2:59 AM our time), so be sure to place your orders soon.

A note about Jakroo’s pricing structure:
Please know that Jakroo has a tiered pricing structure based on the quantity ordered. The more of an item that is ordered, the more the price drops. You will not be charged until the store closes and the price you pay will be the final discounted price based on the collective quantity ordered. Pricing drops significantly once 6 items are ordered.

Shipping:
Jakroo will ship the items directly to you, and their current turnaround is 3 weeks from the shop closing. Your new riding apparel should arrive by the end of July!

Sizing:
If you’re still unsure of your size, Jakroo offers a ‘Guaranteed Size Recommendation’ service. Prior to placing your order, fill out the Google Form found here and Jakroo will recommend a size to you. If they get it wrong, they will replace it for free!
