Club TT #4 – Aug 15/18
The fourth and final TT of our 4 event time trial series is tonight, with first rider starting at 7:00pm! The August TT tends to produce some of the fastest times of the season, so why not put all that training you’ve been doing this summer to the test? For 2018: We will be using…

Aug. 15 Social Ride
For a ride which promises to be hot, I think that we should head for somewhere with lots of greenery. Please being lots of your favorite cold liquid and lights, just in case. (Note: this is the last Wednesday Ride of this year with the 6:30 start time. Next week, rides start at 6:00.)
-
Tuesday B Ride | Aug 14, 6:30pm
Starting off following the A to pick up anyone who comes off early, we will then be turning back and making our way to 4th line but without the climb. Days are getting shorter so please bring lights.

Tuesday A Ride | Aug 14, 6:30pm
It looks like this will be the last chance to head over to 6th Line based on available daylight. If you have been riding a lot lately your tires may be getting worn. It’s a good idea to inspect them closely for any cracks or bulges and replace if necessary.

Sunday Long Ride, August 12th 9am
Let’s try this route again. We’ll head South on what should be some very scenic roads to Waterdown and explore a couple categorized climbs. We’ll stop for refreshments at the Copper Kettle Cafe in downtown Waterdown, before making our way back along First Line back to Arkell.

Sunday Medium Ride | August 12th, 9:00am
Nice route heading south toward Morriston than looping around and heading toward Campbellville with a stop at Flying Monkey if so desired, then heading back the way we came. We head home on first line all the way to Arkell Rd. The forecast looks decent with rain coming in the afternoon.

Gravel ride – Saturday Aug. 11 @ 9am
Revisiting this loop for some gravel adventures out to West Montrose, Jig’s Hollow, and some G2G rail trail action. Should be a beautiful day to grind some gravel!
-
Thursday A/B Rides | August 9th, 6:30 pm
A slightly shorter route for our slightly shorter evening. The classic Everton-Rockwood-25th loop, with a gravel section at the end of SR 20.

Wednesday Social Ride Aug. 8, 6:30pm
The days are getting shorter but the riding legs are getting stronger. A ride with a few ups and downs which will test our skills to keep up a 28kph average. As usual, we will focus on smooth transitions and tight groupings. The weather forecast calls for a possibility of rain so a final call…

Tuesday B Ride – August 7th 2018 – 6:30pm Start
This one will get us back in under 2 hours; ~ 60km. Lots of time to get home before dark. Note the change from Nassagaweya-Esquesing Town Line to 6th line from the last time we ran this route. If we are a large group, I will split us into a 1st group that will allow…

Tuesday A Ride Aug. 7, 6:30 pm
We haven’t done this in a while. The map indicates the official end point at Watson and York but Watson and Stone makes more sense so let’s end it there.
-
Sunday Medium Ride | August 5th, 9:00am
A slightly different route with a scheduled café stop at the Flying Monkey. Relaxed pace and quiet roads.
-
Sunday Long Ride | Aug. 5, 9:00am
Fritters sound good? Of course they do and they do them right at the Tansley Coffee Emporium, formerly the Brown Dog Cafe, in St. George.

Thursday A/B Ride – Aug 2nd, 6:30pm
Weather Update 4:58 PM: Looks like we’re good to go at this point. See you soon. Original Post: Here’s a nice rolling route to the south and west of Guelph with some new pavement in a few places. Quite a few turns to remember so load this one into that thing that’s been cluttering up…
