Sunday May 4th – 9am

Two ride options for the rest of the summer on Sundays, we've had some interest from members about a shorter ride. Both rides will leave from the usual spot at the library.

Please note the earlier start time of 9am, this will keep up until August.

Long ride to Dundas (slightly different version to get to Domestique):

Shorter ride:

Wednesday Night (April 30) ride

Here's a ride on some nice paved country roads.  Watch out for ornery deer and ferral chickens.

As usual, don't forget your club cards and the social paceline will be in effect except for the section of 124 where we'll go single file.  Also,  if the weather looks nasty I'll make the decision to cancel the ride by 5pm.

Update at 16:50 – It looks like all the wet stuff might stay to the south.   I'll say the ride is on.

Thursday Ride – 4th Line Fun

A and B groups again… starts at 6PM.

Please be sure to look over the Group Ride Information, especially the section on how we rotate. Also please bring your club membership card. We are meeting at the Guelph Public Library on Starwood Drive, the new start location for all club rides.

Wednesday – Social Ride

Today we’ll go north into the wind.  My goal is to keep the ride inclusive by going at a speed likely below 28 km/h into the wind and we will regroup after every hill.  I am guessing we will average below 28 km/h today.

We will be doing the rotation as shown on the club page below.  The only exception is when we turn right unto Hwy 124, which will be single file.

Keep an eye on this posting in case I have to cancel for flurries or rain……

Sunday, April 20 ride | 11:00 A.M. START

Easter Sunday Coffee Ride!

This 113k base miles ride will be run at an endurance pace, with a stop at the Brown Dog Coffee Shoppe at kilometer 66. Take note of the very brief stint on Hwy 24, south of Cambridge, which we'll navigate single file.

Alternate Routes
For those who might favour a slightly shorter route, one of these 98k or 88k variations might suit your fancy. Each cover most of the same roads and offer the opportunity to ride with the group until about the 45k mark. If considering one of these options, please be absolutely certain that you know the route or otherwise have it loaded into your GPS.

Also, please ensure that you're familiar with our 2014 start location (Guelph Public Library on Starwood) and new rotation scheme. Oh, and don't forget your 2014 club membership cards.

Pre-ordered club kit is ready for pick-up

Most people have picked up their pre-ordered club kit from the shop, but we are aware that some may have missed the announcement in the most recent newsletter.

We're working on getting all of the numbers together on overstock, which will be available for purchase through the CCN online store. Please note that kit cannot be exchanged or purchased at the shop.

Tues. Hammerfest: Apr. 14th, 14

Highly tentative with tomorrow's arctic forecast – but if things turn out ok, Guelph lake loops, since it's sure to be cold!

Update – the roads may be clear but not bike friendly weather out tonight. Ride cancelled, but some ultra hard men may want to ride out anyways. Check on the forums in case.
