A fairly long, challenging route with a good dose of climbing. Rest stop at the Detour Cafe in Dundas.

Sunday Medium Ride | August 16th, 9:00 am
Here’s something a little different. We’ll hit the Montrose Covered Bridge before heading into Elora for a coffee stop. And then back to Guelph with an unconventional entry back into town.
Thursday A/B Rides | August 13th, 6:30 pm
RIDE IS ON… the radar looks clear during our ride window. Straightforward offering to the southwest. The outlook is showing the potential for thunderstorm activity… watch this space for a ‘go/no-go’ call to made by 5:30 pm… and bring your blinky-lights!
Wednesday Ride Aug 12 | 6:30pm
We’ll be heading north and west up through Maryhill. The forecast is promising good weather and a tail wind for the ride back to town. A good length route for a 28 kph average with a couple of single file sections and the sun setting at 8:32 (ackk!). Tail lights please. You’ll be home, fed and showered in time to get out and see the Persied meteor showers later this evening.
Tuesday B Ride | Tuesday August 11, 6:30pm
Both Rides Are On! Tuesday B ride. Days are getting shorter so let remember our lights!
Tuesday A Hammerfest Aug 11th | 6:30pm
Very easy to follow route for Tuesday.
Sunday Ride
Something a little different this Sunday. A lot of people are away, including Gabhan, so we decided to combine the two rides making the medium ride a little longer, and the longer ride a little shorter. Something for everyone here!
Pace will accommodate whoever shows up. A great Sunday morning route that will take in some beautiful country vistas, make its way through cottage country, refuel at Ashanti in Elora, and make it home in time for Sunday brunch.
Thursday A/B rides Aug 6th | 6:30pm
Oustic – Everton – Rockwood loop for Thursday evening. Again, the sunlight is waning a bit, so please bring lights!
Wednesday Night Social Ride
A shorter route with a few hills added in for those who didn’t make it out last night due to the rain. Remember to bring your lights. Let’s aim for an average speed of 28km/hr.
Tues. A ride: August 4th, 6:30pm CANCELLED
RIDE IS OFFICIALLY CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN. People may still show up, but be aware that it is no longer an official club ride. Fairly simple route for the hammerfest. Please bring lights, as they are not only a great idea, but also mandatory under the new cycling laws. The sun sets pretty low these days in the NW as you come back into Guelph, and makes it difficult to see for motorists.
Tuesday B: August 4, 6:30pm CANCELLED
RIDE IS OFFICIALLY CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN. Something a little different. We’ll head west to start and finish at Conservation rd. and Victoria rd.

Sunday Medium Ride | August 2nd, 9:00 am
70K ride. Shouldn’t get too hot but bring your fuel! Forecast calls for thunderstorms later, so it could be humid!
Sunday Long Ride | August 2nd, 9:00 am
Long Weekend St. George Apple Fritter Brunch Run! Nothing too ambitious for this Civic Holiday weekend ride, but coffee and deep-fried goodness awaits at the halfway pit-stop. Weather looks to be favourable in the morning… will post cancellation by 8am if things turn south, but otherwise consider the ride to be ‘on.’
Good luck to those racing Le Tour de Terra Cotta on Monday.
Thursday A/B Rides – July 30 at 1830
I understand that today is Bayden’s last ride with the club and unlike the last stage of the Tour de France, there will be attacks and more attacks. Have fun with that.
As for the B group, we’ll average 32 kph. The route was hand picked by Bayden so it should be good.
Wednesday Ride – July 29 at 1830
Here is the route for this Wednesday. I tried to keep simple with no major road crossings and minimal turns. We’ll target 28 kph.
