Medium Ride is a beautiful 80 km circumference tour of our area. The weather is looking tremendous and you’ll be home in time for lunch before the day begins to heat up. We end in DT Guelph with the wind at our backs. Hope to see you out.

Sunday July 10, Long ride 9:00am
This Sunday’s endurance ride is headed to Dundas for a well deserved cafe stop. We’ll climb out of the valley via Sydenham Road and meander back along Snake.
Thursday, July 7th A/B rides | 6:30 pm start
A back-loaded route that features the Col du Watson, Watson Rollers, and (newly repaved) Watsonburg in the final 14k. This will undoubtedly make for an animated A-ride finish, while the B-ride will take it all in steady, organized, attack-free stride. Note the 2k gravel stretch between Concession Rd. 4 and CR 34.
Wed July 6 – Tour of two bridges | 6:30 pm
Looks like a warm night to ride bikes. This week we will check out some of the quiet roads to the west of town. Along the way we will cross 2 single lane bridges on Blackbridge and on Niska. Be sure to bring lots of water. The formal end of ride will be at Kortright and the Hanlon.
July 5th Tuesday B ride | 6:30pm
Slightly on the longer side, but the days are only getting shorter. We’ll do a 68km loop down to Twiss road, then head back up McNiven/1st for a trip up the berg. Bring lights if you got em.
Tuesday Hammerfest – July 5 – 6:30 pm
If you cast your mind back to May 3rd you will remember this ride. You might also remember a missed left turn onto 8th Line. Here it is again, a fairly flat route with long stretches of open road. Enjoy.
Sunday July 3, Medium Ride, 9:00 am
This route was for a ride that was rained out in May. Looks like a good choice for tomorrow. I haven’t added a coffee stop anywhere, we can discuss as a group if that is something we want to do.
July 3rd Sunday LOONG ride | 9AM
Picking a classic route for Sunday out to forks of the credit. Looking forward to great weather, a steady pace and a tail wind in all directions. A well earned coffee shop stop in Belfountain after some solid climbing.
June 30th Thursday A/B Ride | 6:30pm
For tonight’s ride we will be heading North towards Oustic then down towards Acton. From that point we will head towards Edin Mills and experience some rolling hills before coming up the climb on 29 and head into Arkell. Should be a fun ride!! For those with GPS, please remember to load in the route, makes for a safer ride. Wrong turns ruin breakaways.
June 29th Wednesday ride | 6:30pm
Looks like a beautiful night to ride your bike. We’ll extend the ride a little bit over what you rode a few weeks ago. The finish takes us through Eden Mills and the formal end to the ride is at Arkell.
Tuesday B ride June 28th | 6:30pm
Rides are on, radar is clearing up. We’ll do a counter-clockwise loop on Hume, 2nd, 10th, up 5th, and then back through Eden Mills. We’ll aim for the 32–35 kph advertised average speed.
June 28, Tuesday HAMMERFEST 6:30
Here is the challenging route we look forward to every year. After Rattlesnake, 6th Line doesn’t seem so bad – except you’ve just climbed Rattlesnake. Let’s all regroup in the Rattlesnake Point parking lot (left turn at the top)where bottles can be refilled and high-5s exchanged.
Monday MTB ride | June 27 6:30pm
Anybody not tired from the TdGuelph or the 24hr Solstice race are invited 🙂
Remaining dates are: July 4th, and July 18th. Meet at (edit: The Boathouse) for a 6:30pm start. These are official club rides run at a decent speed (but nothing crazy), so club membership is required.
Sunday combined out of town ride, June 26: 9:00 am start
Sunday is the Tour of Guelph and it would be great if as many club members who can, join in this great ride for charity.
Due to the Tour we will be scheduling one combined out of town ride for this Sunday starting in Primrose which is just north of Orangeville.
The Primrose Creemore loop takes in some lovely terrain with some great climbs. The drive up takes about one hour so plan on leaving at 7:50 to be able to start the ride at 9:00 am from Primrose.
In Primrose we park in the Subway parking lot.
If you would like to carpool please post here, I can take one other person with me and others can also take people.
We will stop in Creemore for food and drink. I have two routes listed, the second one skips the extra climb by Creemore and makes the ride 10 km shorter for people who want less KM.
June 23rd Thursday A/B Ride | 6:30pm
Get ready for a tour of the roads southwest of Guelph. Attacks are likely on the ‘A’ ride. The ‘B’s will focus on a steady, 29-32 kph, no drop group ride–although some separation may occur as we “carry the speed” down Silvercreek. For those who need their Vitamin G, there is a 2.7km sector of smooth gravel on Woolwich Guelph Townline north of Hwy 7 to Maryhill Rd. NOTE: the end of the official Club ride is the parking lot of Paramount Sports (turn left on Fair Rd before Woodlawn). Double NOTE: Thursday Night Club Social has been moved up a week due to the long weekend so we’re heading to the Wooly after the ride. Bring money.
Wednesday Ride, June 22nd, 6:30pm
Change of plans due to the construction at the bottom of the Watsonberg. We will do a slightly different version of Lorenz’ Route from last week.
