It’s hot but the ride is ON.  Last Wednesday ride of the year.  We start earlier but the sun sets way earlier so I have had to keep the ride short.  Unfortunately mother nature may decide to bring rain.  I will update the site at 5 PM.

Looks like another really warm one.  We’ll go North.  We’ll go single file on Hwy 124 and again through Rockwood.  I just want to remind everyone that this is a beginners ride averaging 25 to 28 Kmh and no drop.  If people want to give it going up a hill, that’s fine but we will slow down and regroup at the top of each hill.

Looks like a beautiful night to ride your bike.  We’ll extend the ride a little bit over what you rode a few weeks ago.  The finish takes us through Eden Mills and the formal end to the ride is at Arkell.

With the change in the start time we gain back 30 minutes so I made the ride a little longer. We’ll head towards Oustic and come back through Eden Mills.  We’ll start at 6 PM sharp and please bring lights as we are tackling a good distance for this time of the year.

Here is the route for this Wednesday.  I tried to keep simple with no major road crossings and minimal turns.   We’ll target 28 kph.

I just wanted to warn people that there is fresh chip seal on Arkell road between First Line and Puslinch (800 m).  We’ll slow down and allow greater distance between riders.

We’ll go North and East this week for a nice hilly course.

I see that the rides are getting a little longer each time lets take in the longer days while we can and do 50 km.  The only fly in this soup is that the weather looks iffy.

I will update this page one hour before the ride.

CANCELLED – Too many rain clouds.  Warmer days are coming……

The weather looks pretty iffy but it changes we’ll do this route.  By the way cold is not iffy; we’ll still ride in the cold.  🙂
