Tuesday A Ride | July 11, 6:30 pm

As requested, Megaloops are back. This route is comprised of two 21 km loops. Unlike G Lake loops, we don’t stop after completing a lap. It’s one continuous ride. Like G Lake, we can divide the group in two and have one chase the other. This format encourages cooperation and organization within the groups.

Tuesday A Ride | July 4, 6:30 pm

Out to Guelph Lake for interval circuit training. We’ll take a moderate warm-up pace out there, gather at the start and after each 8km circuit. We split the group in two with one pursuing the other. Then mix and match. Don’t worry about being dropped because we’ll all meet at the start again. The goal is 4, possibly 5 laps. The rest phase allows us to chat and for friendly razzing between laps.

Tuesday A Ride | June 13, 6:30 pm

It’s about time for this epic Tuesday nighter. We gather and regroup at the top of Rattlesnake in the park driveway and may pause again over the top of 6th Line. Note the detour via Keystone is still active. Be careful on that descent!

Tuesday A Ride | May 16, 6:30 pm

Let’s try some hill repeats for general fitness or anyone racing the Steve Bauer Classic on Saturday which features the Effingham climb. For our purposes we’ll use Col du Watson (x 5). After each interval regroup at Watson and Leslie maintaining a reasonable but not gruelling pace around the 7km loop to hit it hard on the climb each time.

Tuesday A Ride | May 2, 6:30 pm

Ride Cancelled: An hour from ride time it looks like a big rain cell is heading in from 6:00 to 7:30. Sorry for the late notice.
New ride time this week starting a half-hour later. The route heads north-west and ends at the unusual intersection of Watson and York (or Stone for Adam). Have a look at the map. The left onto 8th Line heading north caught some riders out last year. There’s a big system coming through Monday. Maybe it will dump all its rain and leave us with a crisp, clean hammerfest.

Tuesday A Ride, April 18 – 6:00 pm

Weather is looking good this week so full gas all the way. Or sit in the wheels and attack it’s up to you. Always ride with safety at the forefront of your mind. Thanks to everyone who came out and got drenched right before the ride started last week. It turned out to be a beautiful night.

Hammerfest!! Tuesday, April 4, 6:00 pm

RIDES CANCELLED. It looks like rain at the start for sure. It may clear after but with soaked kits, falling temperatures and road spray it wouldn’t make for a good ride. A few hard riders may gather anyway but that’s strictly unofficial.
Welcome back, riders! Tuesday’s weather is looking iffy but seems to be improving. So we will give it a shot. If it’s cancelled, a decision will be posted on the site no later than 5:00pm, Tuesday. This route was our second outing last year and proved popular for some early attacks. We meet at the the East Side Library on Starwood and depart at 6:00pm sharp. The ride has a brief rollout until the intersection at Watson and Arkell where the pace accelerates with a snap. Bring your membership card and prepare for fireworks. Ride safely. 🙂
